Views of the Berehove railway on 16 June 2003:
00 TU2 shunting our train at Berehove depot. There had been no passenger traffic here since the 1980s, apart from a very brief revival attempt in 1994, and freight traffic had ceased in 1998. Berehove therefore serves only as the depot for maintaining locomotives and coaches for operating the Vynohradiv - Khmil'nyk - Irshava section. The new TU7 locomotives delivered in the early 1990s seem never to have been used, and the TU2s dating from the 1950s still haul all the trains.
09 Run-pasts and associated shunt moves between Berehove and Khmil'nyk.
55 Our train at Khmil'nyk before heading on to Irshava.
10 Irshava, our train and a service train which shortly headed back to Khmil'nyk.
29 More run-pasts and associated movements between Irshava and Khmil'nyk.
11 Khmil'nyk - service train leaving for Irshava, views of the bridge over the Borzhava river, service train arriving from Vynohradiv with Pafawag coaches (I understand these have not been used since 2007), shunt moves to add a Pafawag coach to our train, which then formed a timetable service to Vynohradiv.
55 Arriving at an intermediate station (I think this is Oleshnyk) with a quite significant number of passengers waiting.
42 Departure from the station and views from the train on the way to Vynohradiv.
